Basketball Fail of the Week!

As if I hadn’t already seen it all…. How is this forreal! That is the only question running through my mind… James Young, a Freshman out of Kentucky, makes an unbelievable shot while running out of bounds, a shot that he could not have duplicated in a million years – the only problem was that it was in his own basket!
On a blocked shot from the opposing team, James Young attempted to save the ball from going out of bounds and tries flipping it behind his back to one of his teammates as any teammate would… However, instead of the ball being received by another player, the ball ends up going into his own basket and counting as 2 points against his own team! Incredible!

Bud Adams dies at 90!

Bud Adams dies at 90!

Owner of the Tennessee Titans, Bud Adams, dies at 90 inside of his home in Houston, Texas. The team had announced Monday that Bud Adams had passed away, saying he “died away peacefully from natural causes.” Bud Adams moved the Houston Oilers to Tennessee after the 1996 season. His 409 wins were the most of any current NFL owner. Adam’s Oilers were pretty bad in the years following the 1970 merger between the AFL and the NFL, but had a serious come-back in the late 1970s when Adams convinced Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner, Hugh Culverhouse, to trade him the rights to Heisman Trophy-winning running back Earl Campbell in 1978.The Campbell-led teams reached two straight AFC title games, only to lose to eventual Super Bowl winner Pittsburgh both times. The Oilers died out of the playoffs early in 1980 and Adams reacted by firing popular coach Bum Phillips, a move that permanently alienated him from many fans of the team’s “Luv Ya Blue” era. Phillips died Friday, also at the age of 90. The Oilers had their longest run of success in the late 1980s and early 1990s but became best known for blowing a record 32-point lead in a playoff game at Buffalo on Jan. 3, 1993 — Adams’ 70th birthday.
